Antoine Torunczyk, oboe
Fascinated by the repertoire from the XVIIIth century, Antoine Torunczyk started really early to practice the historical oboe. In 1998, he got chosen to be a member of the European Baroque Orchestra and won the 1st prize of the International Competition of baroque oboe of Halle in 2000. Since that moment, he has been invited by many of the orchestras playing on period instruments. In 2008, he became principal oboe of the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra.
Also passionate about chamber music, he is one of the founders of the Assemblée des Honnestes Curieux in 1996, ensemble winner of the 1st prize of the Prmio Bomporti International Chamber Music Competition in Roveerto (Italy).
In 2010, he founded the Accademia dei Dissonanti and is actually teaching the historical oboe in the CRR de Paris and in the Pôle Supérieur de Paris-Boulogne.
