Nicolas Mazzoleni, violin
Nicolas Mazzoleni started being interested in period violin during his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon. From this moment, he has been solo violin in many baroque ensembles in Europe.
Leader of the 2nd violins section in the Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble, he also dedicates a part of his time to chamber music, playing with Bob Van Asperen, Martin Gester, Christophe rousset, Jean-Paul Fouchécourt…
Every year, the European Union Baroque Orchestra invites him as solo violin. In 1998, he formed his own ensemble, the Collegium Baroque, a chamber music ensemble and also a small orchestra. The Collegium Baroque recorded a the Concerti for 2, 3 and 4 keyboards of Bach for Ligia Digital, with some great musicians as Olivier Vernet and Marie-Claire Alain playing the positive organs.
